In fact, Kevin went straight into freight brokerage after he finished college and spent several years working as a general manager for a brokerage office in Chicago. When he’s not working, Kevin enjoys golf, running, the beach, and trying to keep up with his one and a half year old son.

“I’m on the sales team, so I’m bringing in new accounts and new customers, as well as working with our current customers to explore whether they want any additional services of ours. Because of the current market conditions, a lot of people in the industry are looking for ways to find capacity and increase their resilience and we’re a company that can help with that. That’s especially true on the digital freight matching side of things, where we’re introducing our customers to new carriers and helping them strengthen their current carrier relationships. That’s been a hot topic industry-wide and we’ve been at the forefront of that.”
“It’s fun to be part of this technology revolution and the new technologies that have been introduced into the industry in the last few years. It’s fun to be on a team that is working to change the industry. I consider us to be at the forefront of this, especially on the digital freight matching side of things. With the capacity constraints that brokers are having to deal with, they’re looking to adopt anything they can on the technology side to help with that. It’s the same with carriers. They’re looking to have a more convenient experience and technology is something that can help with that.”
“Knowing about all of the inefficiencies of how things traditionally worked in freight brokerage helps, especially when it comes to capacity, finding carriers, and getting updates from carriers and the drivers specifically. With the technology these days, we’re making brokers’ lives a lot better and drivers’ lives better, for that matter.”
“I like the ambition aspect of Trucker Tools’ company culture. As a team, we are at the forefront of an industry that’s changing and our goal is pretty ambitious — to be that leading provider of digital freight matching and load tracking. Even going beyond that, our goal is to improve how brokers and carriers work with each other. I think we just all have ambitious goals to make the supply chain better and it’s fun to be a part of that.”
“Prior to having a child, I liked golf. I still get out on the golf course every now and then. I like to run. We also get to Florida and go to the beach a good bit. Now that my wife and I have a one and a half year old son, I’m just keeping up with him and showing him the ropes.”
“I guess you can apply it both professionally and personally, but just trying new things. I think in general in the workspace, especially being remote 100 percent of the time, if it was just the same thing every single day it wouldn’t be very fun. I’m always looking to try new things, to better myself, to better the sales team, and better the company. Then the same goes for my personal life. I like trying new things, whether it be food or travel experiences. I’ve always wanted to go to Ireland and I think Greece would be really cool. I’d say those are my top two on my bucket list in terms of travel. I’d like to go to Italy again. We hit Italy two years ago and that was a total bucket list trip and we did it with my whole family.”
