Looking ahead to the coming week, you can expect reefer demand and rates to remain high near Nogales, Arizona, a major importation point for produce coming from Mexico, and in cattle farming areas in the U.S. Midwest and Canadian Prairie Provinces. If you run flatbed, you’ll want to make Texarkana, Texas, a priority this week, as demand and rates are projected to be high. Dry van demand and rates to/from Minot, N.D., are expected to increase over the next five to seven days, while demand for power only capacity inbound to and outbound from San Francisco is projected to rise in the coming week.

Where Demand and Rates Are Likely To Be High or Rising
- Flatbed demand and rates to/from Texarkana, Texas, and Fayetteville, Ark., are expected to be relatively high this week. Demand for flatbed capacity inbound to and outbound from Northern Ontario is projected to increase this week.
- Reefer demand and rates for Tucson, Ariz., Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Dodge City, Kan., are likely to be elevated over the next five to seven days. Demand for reefer capacity to/from Dodge City, Kan., and Grand Junction, Colo., is expected to increase this week.
- Power only demand and rates inbound to and outbound from San Francisco are likely to rise in the coming week.
- Dry van demand and rates for Minot, N.D., are projected to increase slightly this week.
Where Demand and Rates Are Likely To Be Low or Falling
- Flatbed demand and rates inbound to and outbound from Eastern Ontario and Brooklyn, N.Y., are expected to be extremely low this week. Flatbed demand to/from Gary, Ind., is expected to decline in the next five to seven day period.
- Reefer demand to/from Vancouver, British Columbia, and Hartford, Conn., are projected to be very low this week.
- Power only demand and rates for Reno, Nev., are likely to be extremely low in the coming week. Power only demand to/from Syracuse, N.Y., is likely to fall in the next five to seven days.
