Where’s the Freight? Texarkana, Dodge City, Macon and Spokane Expected To See High Demand for Trucks in Coming Week

y’all, and welcome to your TGIF edition of “Where’s the Freight?,” Trucker
Tools’ free,bi-weekly freight market report for owner operators
and carriers.
The latest data
from our technology platform indicates that Texarkana, Texas, will remain a
hot market for both flatbed and reefer freight over the next five to seven
day period. In fact, demand for reefer capacity for Texarkana, Texas, is
expected to increase significantly this week. Also of note in today’s freight
forecast is that demand for power only capacity inbound to and outbound from
New Castle, Del., is projected to increase in the coming week, while Macon,
Ga., will be a hot spot for reefer. If you run van or flatbed loads, you may
want to avoid loads to/from two major markets in Alberta this week, as rates
are expected to be extremely low.

Flatbed demand and rates for Texarkana,
Texas, and Dodge City, Kan., will remain very high.
Reefer demand and rates for Texarkana,
Texas, Macon, Ga., and Spokane, Wash., are projected to be high. Demand for
reefer capacity inbound to and outbound from Texarkana, Texas, and Tucson,
Ariz., is expected to increase.
Power only demand and rates for New
Castle, Del., Los Angeles and Omaha, Neb., are likely to rise.

Demand/Rates Will Be Lowest or Falling This Week
Flatbed demand and rates for Brooklyn,
N.Y., and Edmonton, Alberta, will be very low.
Reefer demand and rates for Cheyenne,
Wyo., and Minot, N.D., will be very low.
Power only demand and rates for Albany,
N.Y., Denver and Seattle are projected to decline.
Dry van demand and rates for Calgary,
Alberta, will remain extremely low.

and carriers by two to one, meaning there will be two loads available to every
flatbed going into or out of the area.

National Truck Rate Report finds that capacity shortages continue to
be an issue in these areas: Delaware, Maryland, Eastern Shore Virginia, Southwestern
Indiana and Southeastern Illinois.
