Happy Friday and welcome to the newest edition of “Where’s the Freight?,” Trucker Tools’ free freight report for drivers and fleets. This free freight report tells you where demand for flatbed, reefer, power only and dry van capacity will be highest and lowest across the United States and Canada over the next week. This week, you can expect demand and rates for power only and reefer capacity to remain high in several U.S. markets, while several Canadian reefer and flatbed markets are expected to see extremely low demand. Yet again, the Texarkana, Texas, reefer market claims the number one spot in today’s Top Five Hottest Markets list, while the Vancouver, British Columbia, reefer market is projected to be the coldest (lowest demand and rate) market this week.
Where Demand/Rates Will Be Highest or Rising This Week
Flatbed demand and rates for Texarkana, Texas, are expected to be high.
Reefer demand and rates for Texarkana, Texas, and Dodge City, Kan., are likely to remain extremely high. Reefer demand to/from Tucson, Ariz., is projected to increase.
Power only demand and rates for Jonesboro, Ark., and Buffalo, N.Y., are likely to be high. Power only demand to/from Birmingham, Ala., Washington D.C., and Saginaw, Mich., is expected to rise.
Dry van demand and rates for Ottawa, Ontario, are projected to increase.
Where Freight Demand/Rates Will Be Lowest or Falling This Week
Flatbed demand and rates for Washington D.C., and Brooklyn, N.Y., are expected to remain very low.
Reefer demand and rates for Vancouver, British Columbia, Pittsburgh and Montreal, Quebec, are projected to be extremely low. Reefer demand to/from Winnipeg, Manitoba, is likely to decline.
Power only demand and rates for St. Cloud, Minn., are expected to decrease.

Five Coldest Markets this week: 1. Vancouver, British Columbia (reefer), 2. Pittsburgh (reefer), 3. Brooklyn, N.Y. (flatbed), 4. Montreal, Quebec (reefer), and 5. Washington D.C. (flatbed).
Market To Watch: Demand for power only capacity inbound to and outbound from Buffalo, N.Y., this week is projected to be four times higher than it was during the same week last year.
This week, the Texarkana, Texas, reefer and flatbed markets will favor owner operators and carriers by more than two to one, meaning there should be at least two loads available to every flatbed or reefer running into and out of the region.
