This newest blog is all about Alex Altvater, Trucker Tools’ Vice President of Marketing. Alex is one of the newest members of the Trucker Tools team and she brings with her several years of experience in leadership roles with SaaS companies. When she’s not at work, Alex enjoys traveling with her family and trying new restaurants.

What Alex Does at Trucker Tools
“I oversee all of the marketing strategy and execution for Trucker Tools,” Alex said. “My goal is to drive value for our customer base to enable growth for not only Trucker Tools, but also to enable growth for our brokers and carriers.”
B.T.T. (Before Trucker Tools)
“I just started with Trucker Tools and my onboarding week was at the Manifest Show in Las Vegas with the rest of the executive team,” Alex shared. “It was an exciting start and great to meet everyone in person before going from an office to a fully remote working environment. Before Trucker Tools, I was the Director of Marketing at Smart Warehousing. I love building go-to-market engines that have an impact on pipeline and have built out several key marketing functions including demand generation, content marketing, sales enablement and product marketing. Prior to Smart Warehousing, I held leadership roles at several other fast-growing SaaS businesses.”
What Alex Likes About Working at Trucker Tools
“In my short time at Trucker Tools, I can already see how collaborative the culture is, which surprised me for a remote-first company,” Alex shared. “Another key area I like about Trucker Tools is the focus on the customer. During my first week in the office, almost every conversation highlighted that customer first mentality.”
Alex’s Life Outside of Work
“I’m a big fan of trying new restaurants,” said Alex. “We also love to travel as a family as much as possible with two little children. My husband and I have a son, Julian, and a daughter, Scarlett. I also love action movies and thrillers. There’s nothing better than watching a good bank heist where the robbers are the protagonists.”
Alex’s Fav Travel Spots
“Our favorite pre-kids destination was the Galapagos Islands,” Alex shared. “I’m a huge animal lover, so seeing the untouched nature was unparalleled. My husband and I have always wanted to visit Japan, too. We’re intrigued by what we can learn from cultures that are vastly different than our own.”
Alex’s Mentor
“A former boss of mine has become a really close friend and mentor to me,” Alex said. “He’s shown me that leading in a human-centric way and achieving high growth are not mutually exclusive.”
What Alex’s Coworkers May Not Know About Her
“I double majored in Spanish and marketing,” Alex shared. “I was fortunate to study abroad in Madrid, Buenos Aires and Mexico City. I grew up in Germany and lived there until I was eight. From there, we moved to Naples, Fla., which I consider my hometown because that’s where my parents live.”
