The forecast for this coming week projects that the Texarkana, Texas, reefer market will see extremely high demand, which is why it’s ranked number one in today’s Top Five Hottest Markets list. The Texarkana, Texas, flatbed market makes an appearance in today’s Top Five as well, snagging the number two spot. Also of note in today’s market report, demand for power only capacity inbound to and outbound from Fort Wayne, Ind., is expected to surge upwards this week, while Ithaca, N.Y., will be a hot spot for dry van freight.

Flatbed demand and rates for Texarkana, Texas, once again are projected to be high.
Reefer demand and rates for Texarkana, Texas, Spokane, Wash., and Dodge City, Kan., are likely to be very high. Reefer demand to/from Wheeling, W.Va., and Decatur, Ala., is expected to increase
Power only demand and rates for Fort Wayne, Ind., Montgomery, Ala., and New Castle, Del., are projected to rise.
Dry van demand and rates for Ithaca, N.Y., are expected to be high.
Where Freight Demand/Rates Will Be Lowest or Falling This Week
Flatbed demand and rates for Brooklyn, N.Y., Washington D.C., and Flagstaff, Ariz., will be extremely low.
Reefer demand and rates for Pittsburgh and Rapid City, S.D., are projected to be low. Reefer demand to/from Edmonton, Alberta, is likely to decline.
Power only demand and rates for El Paso, Texas, and Richmond, Va., are expected to decrease.
Dry van demand and rates for Gary, Ind., are likely to decline.
