Happy Wednesday, truckers, and welcome to the newest edition of “Where’s the Freight?,” Trucker Tools’ free freight forecast for owner operators and trucking companies. This forecast tells you where truckload demand and rates across the United States and Canada will be high, low, increasing and decreasing over the next five to seven day period.
This week, you can expect demand for reefer and flatbed capacity to/from Texarkana, Texas, to remain very high. If you run dry van freight, you’ll want to prioritize loads to/from Ithaca, N.Y., and Gary, Ind., in the coming week, as demand and rates are projected to increase over the next week. While there are no power only markets in today’s Top Five Hottest Markets list, power only demand is projected to increase this week for San Francisco, Richmond, Va., and Bloomington, Ill.
Where Demand/Rates Will Be Highest or Rising This Week
Flatbed demand and rates for Texarkana, Texas, are projected to remain high.
Reefer demand and rates for Texarkana, Texas, Spokane, Wash., Tucson, Ariz., and Dodge City, Kan., are expected to be extremely high.
Power only demand and rates for San Francisco, Richmond, Va., and Bloomington, Ill., are likely to rise.
Dry van demand and rates for Ithaca, N.Y., and Gary, Ind., are projected to increase.
Where Freight Demand/Rates Will Be Lowest or Falling This Week
Flatbed demand and rates for Brooklyn, N.Y., and El Paso, Texas, will be extremely low.
Reefer demand and rates for Pittsburgh likely will be low.
Power only demand and rates for Stockton, Calif., are expected to be very low. Power only demand to/from Washington D.C., Saginaw, Mich., and Las Vegas is projected to decrease.
Dry van demand and rates for Minot, N.D., will be very low. Dry van demand to/from Ottawa, Ontario, is expected to decline.
