Happy Friday, truckers! Welcome to your end-of-week edition of “Where’s the Freight?,” Trucker Tools’ free freight market report for owner operators and trucking companies.
In the coming week, several major reefer markets are projected to remain red hot, while demand for flatbed capacity will continue to cool in multiple markets across the United States and Canada. Once again this week, Texarkana, Texas, is projected to be a hot spot for reefer freight, as it claims the number one spot in today’s Top Five Hottest Markets list followed by the Winnipeg, Manitoba, flatbed market at number two. Major industries in Winnipeg, Manitoba, include manufacturing, transportation and warehousing, and mining, all of which are likely driving demand for flatbed capacity in the region at this time of year. Over the next five to seven days, you also can expect demand and rates for power only capacity to increase for Salt Lake City and St. Cloud, Minn., while dry van demand is likely to surge to/from Macon, Ga., and Ithaca, N.Y.
